signups are now open and FAQs regarding the 2019 Spring Season.

Who needs to attend evaluations? 
     - all players 7-12 years old. Evaluations are used by coaches to draft players AAA and Major division teams and for the league to form competitive, balanced teams  in each division. 

When are the evaluation dates/times? 
     -February 16th and 23rd and a make up time on Feb 19th at 6:30 by appt only.  Only AAA and Major team coaches are the only team coaches used for assessments.  These coaches have already been notified of their responsibilities.  

Teal field- 9-12 yr olds not already on a Majors team for the 2019 Spring season.  This includes coach's kids.

Farm field- 7 and 8 yr olds not already on a AAA team for the 2019 Spring season.  This includes coach's kids.

Can’t make your assigned time that day, please notify the league and prepare to be assessed at the end of a different group that morning of the 16th/23rd.

How are teams formed?  
-Single A and Rookie Ball team rosters are able to request coaches/teammates.  Please make requests when registering online in the appropriate box.  AA and Minors division teams are formed by using the evaluation scores given during assessments.  These team may start with 3 protected players- Coach pick/asst coach pick/ sponsor pick if brought to the league by team.  These picks need to be submitted to the league by Feb 24th, before teams are drafted using evaluation scores for fair, balanced, and competitive teams.  AAA and Major division teams are drafted by the managers in a player draft.  Only those players that were evaluated on 1 of the 3 evaluation dates are eligible to be drafted to a AAA or Majors team.  

When are teams announced and practices begin?  
     -March 1st. Rosters will be on your team page along with your team’s practice schedule. 

When do games begin and how long does the season last?
     -games begin the week of April 9th and end June 14th with closing ceremonies for 9-12 yr old divisions on June 14th and 8u closing ceremonies on June 15th. Exact Times TBA. There will be no games May 24th - June 2nd for Memorial Day and giving time for planned vacations. 

What does each each player need to play baseball?  
     -the league will provide each player with a team jersey and cap. Pants, cleats, socks, belt, glove, bat (USA BASEBALL BAT ONLY), and batting helmet if the player chooses not to use the helmet provided by the league in each team’s equipment bag. Catchers equipment, batting helmets, and a team bat will be in each equipment bag for use by the players on each team. 

When are games played?  
     -games are played each night of the week and all day on saturdays. Teams schedules vary as there will be almost 40 total teams to schedule. Weeknight games begin at 5:30 and 7p. The league tries to keep games for 8u divisions to be completed no later than 8:30 and schedule any 6u games in the 5:30 time slot. Rookie ball play games only on Saturday mornings. 6u will play Saturday games beginning at noon. 10u division will play games on saturdays beginning at 9a. All games will be played at the Spring Hill Little League fields. 

When/Where are practices? 
     -practice days/times will be assigned by the league for each team. Time slots are 5:30 and 7p during the week and will be both on the league fields and the Evans Park fields (Lions club fields). After games start, all practices will be on the Evans park fields. Saturday times will be slotted every 2 hours beginning at 9a. Each team will be assigned 1 practice on the league fields and 1 practice on the Evans park fields each week prior to games. Rookie ball and Single A teams may practice at the backstop by the Spring Hill Elementary School playground. 

Can a coach/team be requested? 
     -only rookie ball and single A division players can request a coach or request to play with other players/teammates. All other players are drafted to teams using evaluation scores and the player draft process for each division to ensure competitive and balanced teams. Details can be found in the Little League rule book or the league rules/by-laws. (2019 league by-laws will be posted online). Teams in the AA and Minors division get 3 possible protected players.  Coach pick, asst coach pick, and a sponsor pick if sponsor is brought to the league by the team.  All protected picks for these divisions need to be submitted to the league prior to Feb 24th.  Drafts/team formation begins on Feb 25th.
